Hope youse all are keepin cool! I’ve been travelin over in Ye Olde England for a li’l bit, & lemme tell ya, it’s been hot hot HOT over here!! Matter of fact, I decided to beat the heat this weekend with a train trip to one of my favorite haunts – which ya can see in this tourist snap I took:

If I’m bein honest, I was pretty disappointed to see how run-down they’d let everythin get since my last visit. Everythin was roped off, the laconicum wasn’t workin at all, & a buncha the pools didn’t even have WATER in ’em! Ya couldn’t even toss a curse tablet into the sacred spring.^[1]

When it’s midsummer & the days are scorchin hot, there’s nothin I love more ’n eatin the absolute SPICIEST food I can find! I dunno why, it’s just how I’m wired up.

The upshot here’s that I’ve been eatin out at lotsa Indian restaurants here, mostly orderin what type of spicy curry that traces its origin back to a Portuguese dish called carne de vinha d’alhos?
