Skeleton Trivia for Monday, 2026-10-12

Hiya Skeleton Crew,

I’ve been dwellin on themes of perfidy TOO MUCH this weekend. I gotta get a change of scenery! Maybe that’ll help me get my mind offa things.

Y’know, maybe I should go on a campin trip. I’ve got an Airstream that’s been gainin rust for years now, maybe I can spruce her up & just get out into the woods for a bit, clear my cranium.

Answers to Last Time

  • Betrayal is the name of that Pinter play & also the first word of my favorite Halloweeny board game, Betrayal at House on the Hill.
  • The Price Is Right game I showed ya a photo of was Double Cross.

Betrayal! Double-crosses!! These are ’parantly the themes of the season, on account of the DUPLICITY & TREACHERY of my erstwhile pal Milo’s costume turncoatism. So I decided to make ’em last week’s mini-theme, too.

Today’s Trivias

Trivia 1

Last time I took the ol’ Vardo out – that’s what I call my Airstream – I was gettin over my breakup with Bast.[1] Boy, that sure was a trip! I went all ’round the U.S., hittin pretty much every National Park west of the Mississippi.

If I’m rememberin that trip right, though, my first stop wasn’t east OR west, but north! That’s to say, I headed up I-35 & made my way to what U.S. National Park that’s located on the Minnesota–Ontario border? Although it was the Ojibwe who originally occupied the land, the park’s named for the French-Canadian canoemen who gallivanted ’round in the 17th & 18th centuries.

Trivia 2

My Airstream’s nickname, Vardo, is a reference to her predecessor, a horse-drawn wagon I’d picked up back in … oh, that was prob’ly 1892 or 1893? I spent a few summers back then goin ’round with— well, why don’t YOUSE tell ME? What group of people are vardos most closely associated with?

OK then
