Not quite as big as a big cat

Hiya Skeleton Crew,

Welcome to the last free trivias for June! I’ve got another email comin to paid subscribers tomorrow, but after that I’m on a li’l break till August. Hope that’s okay with youse all! If not ... well, I dunno? I guess send me an email & we can jawbone about it.

Answers to Last Time

  • R used to be Roger in the phonetic alphabets that came before NATO, which is how Roger got to stand for Received in modern radio comms.
  • Claire Danes was Juliet in Romeo + Juliet & was Beth March in 1994’s Little Women, don’tcha know.

Today’s Trivias

Trivia 1

Au Bon Pain bought the St. Louis Bread Company in 1993, & a few years later they changed its name to what? (I’m lookin on Google Maps right now, & it looks like at least in the St. Louis area they’ve kept some of the St. Louis Bread Co. brandin, so that’s nice.)

Trivia 2

What heavy metal band’s most famous lineup consisted of brothers Dimebag Darrell (on guitar) & Vinnie Paul (drums) plus Phil Anselmo (vocals) & Rex Brown (bass)? I guess they were pioneers of somethin called “groove metal”? I dunno, I’m just reportin what Wikipedia tells me.

The band officially broke up in 2003, & lemme tell ya, it was an acrimonious divorce! Eventually Misters Anselmo & Brown reformed the band in 2022—without the presence of Misters Darrell & Paul—but I guess that was to be expected given that that latter two’d died durin the intervenin years.

OK then

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

If ya give me your email address, I’ll send some trivias to ya! No joke!!!
