I was listenin to this podcast recently, it’s called Daniel and Kelly’s Extraordinary Universe – they do lotsa episodes ’bout science-y things – & I learned a fun li’l factoid I figured’d make a good trivia. Here is is: most folks nowadays say the phrase “hair of the dog” to mean a hangover “cure” that basically just amounts to drinkin more booze, but the idiom actually comes from an old folk remedy for what disease?
