Thanks for bearin with me for all those cable internet questions yesterday! Unfortunately, the situation here at the Skeleplex’s only escalated. Somehow, now I’ve got a big guy drivin a backhoe & diggin a big hole in my garden for some reason – he’s gonna run some kinda wire somewhere? Meanwhile, that cursed armor/sword that I brought over from Scotland ain’t nowhere to be found! It’s all chaos here – & it means I STILL haven’t gotten to see that new Odyssey movie yet! Ah jeez, I’m pretty cheesed off ’bout that!!

Trivia 1

Here’s a li’l trivia that’s also maybe a bit practical: what number should ya call before ya dig a big ol’ hole anywhere? That’s the national number in the U.S. for connectin with utility location services, so’s ya don’t accidentally dig into a big ol’ gas main or somethin when yer tryin’ to lay a subsurface cable or dig a French drain or excavate a fell artifact of vast chthonic power or whatever. Just know that this is a U.S.-specific thing: if yer in Canada & ya call this number, everyone’ll be confused because they’ll be thinkin yer callin to get help with some kinda non-urgent health problem.

Last time I dug a big hole in my yard, I accidentally disturbed a disembodied spirit named Curtis – maybe some of youse guys remember that? He possessed my body & started writin trivias for me, it was a whole thing. Curtis kinda stopped showin up ’round here – maybe he dissolved into the ether or somethin? – but I’ll always remember him for the otherworldly way he inhabited my bones & moved me around like a weird puppet!

Anyways, that really ain’t apropos of anythin … but now that I’ve got my mind on weird puppets, maybe I’ll ask a question ’bout marionettes! Specifically, there’s this song called Funeral March of a Marionette – maybe “composition” is a better word? – anyways, a French guy named Charles Gounod wrote it … but if ya heard it, I betcha a million buckaroos that it’s not Mr. Gounod who’d ya picture in yer mind! That’s ’cause Funeral March of a Marionette is way more closely associated with what fella & specifically the teevee show he hosted for basically a decade, from 1955 to ’65?
