It ain’t just lingonberry that’s the only flavor of VAGGSÅNG ya can get! There’s also an orange & elderflower spread, a bilberry one, & a strawberry jam too.

Or … is it a jelly? What’s the difference between jam & jelly, again? Ah jeez, I can never keep that stuff straight!

Good news, I just cooked up a li’l rhyme to help me remember:

If cuttin & smashin’s yer jam,
Then ya def want a jam.
Hate pulp? Then – whoa nelly! –
Filter that stuff for a jelly.
If a Peruvian bear must be paid
Boil citrus peels into marmalade!
& if stewin a whole fruit’s yer manoeuvre?
Well, that’d be a … WHAT?

I’ll admit this one’s maybe a bit of a stretch – more of a slant rhyme, really, ’specially dependin on how ya pronounce stuff. But think of it this way: if I made it a more obvious rhyme, this question’d be too easy!

So anyway, what’s the word for whole-fruit preserves that finishes my li’l “rhyme”? Sometimes people’ll also use it to mean a fruit preserve made with some nuts in there.
