Earthrise, Earthset
Hiya Skeleton Crew,
Do ya got any April showers where you’re at? If ya do, don’t fear! Ya just might have some May flowers in your future.
Oh, & a quick fact-check: yesterday I said in the answers section that “royal jelly turns a drone into a queen” – but actually it’s a worker larva that it turns into a queen! Sorry!!
Answers to Last Time
- Yesterday’s Jelly Belly flavor was Tutti-Fruitti, which for some unaccountable reason is spelled different from Little Richard’s song “Tutti Frutti” – but don’tcha worry! I gave ya credit for however ya spelled it.
- That phrase “hair of the dog that bit ya” comes from an ol’ folk medicine where ya were supposed to be able to prevent rabies by dressin a dog bite with … well, some hair of the dog that bit ya! & while I usually don’t recommend for ya to get medical information from your trivia newsletters, I can say with confidence that if ya get bit by a rabid dog ya should NOT DO THAT, but instead GO GET A RABIES SHOT PLEASE.
Today’s Trivias
Trivia 1
I’m not normally super up on all the latest techie developments, but I heard the other day ’bout some announcement from this company Anthropic that makes that Claude chatbot thing, ya mighta heard of ’em?
Anyway, they said they have some kinda new robot that’s super good at findin hacks & exploits & things in computer code. Apparently, it’s SO GOOD that they won’t even let normal people use it! Instead, they’re workin with all sorts of tech companies in a very secret hush-hush sorta way to help fix all the gaping security vulnerabilities out there in the world.
I dunno ’bout any of all that – what really caught my eye is that they decided to name this “Project” of theirs after what lepidopteran species, scientific name Greta oto, whose common name comes from a physiological feature that allows the critter to hide in plain sight?
Trivia 2
Folks are flyin ’round the Moon again! Ya love to see it.

Can ya tell me what’s the name of the NASA mission that’s currently got a quartet of astronauts flyin ’round the moon? I’m gonna need the mission number, please, not just the name of the NASA program.
OK then
