Skeleton Trivia for Wednesday, 2026-04-22
You really don’t want to cross the PAMW
Hiya Skeleton Crew,
So I got Gene to help me out a bit with the website! He said he couldn’t give me a REAL wish – apparently he’s been put under sanction by the Pandimensional Alliance of Magick Workers, for reasons I’m still a bit hazy on – but he was able to offer one of those “wish for somethin sorta inconsequential that ya wouldn’t waste a REAL wish on”-type wishes. & honestly? It’s kinda nice to not have the pressure of “Do I wish for somethin BIG, or is this one of those monkey-paw type situations?” on my clavicles.
But so anyway, point is that I asked Gene to move all the old trivias and submissions I had in my Google Forms and to put them in my cool new website. So he did! The long & short of it is:
-
Anyone who’s already made an account at https://mister.skeletontrivia.com/ should have all their old data linked up to their profile.
-
If ya DON’T have an account yet, go there & claim your username & then email me at mister@skeletontrivia.com & I’ll link it up for ya.[1]
- Everyone can see the latest season of trivias – but paid subscribers’ll be able to see all the old seasons, too! So that’s a fun reason to upgrade your subscription, eh?[2]
- Somethin’ll inevitably go wrong with all this, so I guess just email me to lemme know if I gotta fix somethin.
Answers to Last Time
- Shaquille O’Neal goes by DJ DIESEL in his music-makin life. That guy’s got all SORTSA nicknames! I really like “The Big Aristotle”, that’s my favorite of his.
- Salt-N-Pepa is the hip hop group comprisin Salt, Pepa, & DJ Spinderella.
Today’s Trivias
Trivia 1
The so-called “Mandela Effect” is when a buncha people all together remember somethin that never happened as havin happened. It gets its name from the idea that lotsa people claimed to remember seein news reports of Nelson Mandela havin died in prison in the ’80s – despite the fact he didn’t, & in fact he became President of South Africa from ’94 to ’99 & only died in 2013!
Anyways, I’m only bringin all this up because yesterday’s answer Shaquille O’Neal is kinda adjacent to another popular Mandela Effect belief: namely, that what comedian supposedly starred as a djinn in a 1990s movie titled Shazaam? Folks’re prob’ly just confusin it with Shaq’s Kazaam movie from 1996 – but given that there’s a djinn involved, I wonder if maybe people are makin some kinda subconscious Arabian Nights connection in their heads on this one.
Trivia 2
I feel like I’ve been dreamin of djinni all week long! Well, here’s one more for ya: Jeanie Deans. Never heard of her? She’s the namesake of an opera, a play, a poem, a ship, at least TWO locomotives, a hybrid rose, an antipodean potato, at least a few pubs, AND a geriatric hospital ward in Helensburgh, Scotland! (That’s what Wikipedia tells me, at any rate.)
Who IS this Jeanie Deans that so many folks named stuff after? Why, she’s only one of 19th century literature’s most celebrated heroines, is all! Specifically, she stars in The Heart of Midlothian, the seventh book of what author’s Waverley series?
OK then
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I’m askin ya to email me as a li’l sorta “speed bump”, to discourage folks from claimin someone else’s name & trivia history for themselves. Please don’t do that! Let’s all just play nice here, youse guys!! ↩︎
When ya upgrade, it’ll take maybe a day or so for me to sync up the computers runnin my new site with the computers runnin the newsletter subscription. I’m hopin to make this happen automagically one day, but for now I gotta do it with my own metacarpals. ↩︎
