Hiya Skeleton Crew,
I was up all night last night stakin out cemetery to nab my curséd suit of armor that’s been causin this recent ruckus. I’m pretty sure there’s a boggart in there that’s the source of all this mischief: I spotted it tryna dig some kinda big hole out in the graveyard.
I didn’t wanna spook the li’l guy, of course – the first lesson ya learn in Boggartin 101 is Never Startle a Boggart! – so I’m goin back there tonight with some … well, let’s just call it some special equipment, why don’t we?
Meanwhile, my internet’s STILL flaky, even after the cable company’s dug what’s gotta be a dozen different trenches all ’round the Skeleplex. What a pain in my sacrum!!
Answers to Last Time
- Proteus is one of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Maybe ya didn’t know the play directly, but I hope it was at least guessable: I think the only other Shakespeare play that’s got more ’n one unnamed title character is The Merry Wives of Windsor. (I guess The Two Noble Kinsmen, too, if ya wanna count that one?)
- The Krewes of New Orleans are the social groups that’re famous for throwin big parties and/or marchin in the parade for Mardi Gras every year.

Trivia 1
I’ve been listenin to some showtunes lately to try & decompress my vertebrae a bit, what with all this stressful stuff goin on. Matter of fact, I’m thinkin I might start a li’l program of listenin back through all the Tony for Best Musical nominees, startin with this year’s group & goin all the way back to the first winner, i.e., 1949’s Kiss Me, Kate.
Here’s a fun li’l bit of trivia: a character in Kiss Me, Kate shares her name with what DC comic book character? In this case, the comic character predates the musical character by a decade (1938 vs. 1948), though there ain’t no indication that it’s like an intentional reference or anythin – seems like it was just a co-inky-dink. I guess some folks just like alliteration, y’know?

I ran into a bit of a problem with the 2026 musicals, ’cause although the soundtracks to The Lost Boys & Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) are available on Spotify, the other two Best Musical nominees ain’t. One is for Titanique, which is a jukebox musical of Celine Dion songs, so I dunno if there’ll even BE a soundtrack album for that one. The other’s for what musical, whose soundtrack’s apparently slated to pop up on Spotify on August 20. Although if ya can’t wait, ya could always just listen to the soundtrack to the Apple TV+ series it’s based on, that’s one already on Spotify.
