Skeleton Trivia for Tuesday, 2026-10-06

Yes, Mr. S says “doggo”, I don’t know why this would surprise anyone

Hiya Skeleton Crew,

Bad news! I had to scrap my Hanna-Barbera group costume idea. Turns out that my pal Milo forgot he’d already pledged to go as part of some other group costume. He was kinda vague ’bout it … but the upshot’s that the plan sorta falls apart without Milo, since he’s the guy who’d rope in the other folks to make it a real proper group costume.

Ah jeez!

I kinda wish I knew what he was goin as, or who he was group-costumin with. But, hey, that’s OK! Everyone’s allowed to have their own thing goin on!!

Anyways, I don’t really got time to worry ’bout costumes, what with these trivias & the Skeleplex & everythin else I got goin on. Nosiree, no need to waste any cranium cycles on any of that.

But, uh, if any of YOUSE guys got a costume suggestion for me … well, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email at mister@skeletontrivia.com!

Answers to Last Time

  • Shaggy from Scooby-Doo’s full name is Norville Rogers. The other parts of yesterday’s clue were referencin Kitty Norville, the werewolf radio host heroine of Carrie Vaughn’s book series, & Rogers Hornsby, the baseball Hall of Famer who played second base for the Cards.
  • It was Frank Ocean’s doggo Everest who was the producer extraordinaire behind Channel Orange, which more than a few folks called the best album of 2012.

Today’s Trivias

Trivia 1

Wikipedia credits actor Frank Welker as one of the highest-grossin actors in the world as of 2024. & yet, have ya ever heard of the guy?? Odd are, no.

Well, here’re some of his credits:

  • Fred Jones from Scooby-Doo
  • Totoro in the English dub of My Neighbor Totoro
  • Nibbler from Futurama
  • Santa’s Little Helper in The Simpsons
  • Stripe, the Gremlin leader from Gremlins
  • Megatron, Galvatron, Shockwave, & others from various iterations of Transformers

He was also apparently Disney’s go-to guy for animal sidekicks in the ’90s: Footstool from Beauty and the Beast, Flit from Pocahontas, Cri-Kee from Mulan, etc. etc. &c. This Frank Welker guy’s all OVER the place!

He was also the voice of Abu, Aladdin’s slightly kleptomaniac monkey buddy in Aladdin. But can ya name either of Mr. Welker’s other two credits in that movie? One was as Jasmine’s pet tiger (whose name is also Rogers Hornsby’s nickname, in case ya want a fun li’l tie-in with yesterday’s answers) & the other was for a non-animal[1] speakin role.

Trivia 2

Accordin to the title of Judith Viorst’s award-winnin 1972 children’s book, who was it who had a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?

OK then

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  1. Maybe? I dunno … I guess it’s arguable. ↩︎
