Happy Wednesday! Things are chuggin along just fine here in the land o’ the Scots. I’m actually runnin a li’l late to a golf game I’ve got scheduled with my ol’ pal Bogey, a boggart who lives up near St. Andrews. So let’s get to it!

Good news I got one of those nifty tetanus vaccines! I remember when it got injected right there into my fleshy vasculature-filled arm & it pinched a bit & then it started flowin through my circulatory system, which … uh, I think mighta also—— wait, does blood pinch? No, no, never mind, blood’s one of those things ya – I mean we – don’t feel. Ha! Of course we don’t feel it! That’s a normal thing that everyone knows!!

Tetanus is caused by a li’l bacterium called Clostridium tetani. The genus Clostridium’s actually got a few different fun pathogens, includin two notable causes of food poisonin: Clostridium perfringens & Clostridium WHAT, the latter of which is famous for producin a toxin that’s widely considered the deadliest natural substance known to chemical science? Instead of the species name, I’d also be OK if ya just gave me the name of the disease it can cause.
